On the 27th of January 2023, the kick-off meeting of the Green Agenda for Business Innovation ECP- Eco Ceramics and Glassware of Portugal took place.
The ECP Agenda is an integrative and across-the-board proposal for the Ceramics and Glassware sectors, oriented to their critical competitiveness factors and aiming at improving the international positioning of the sector. It is structured around six strategic pillars, namely: energy transition; decarbonisation; circularity; digital transition; training and capacity building; and promotion and outreach.
This Agenda, led by Vista Alegre Atlantis, comprises 30 partners representing the value chain, including three business associations, 17 business entities and eight entities from the national scientific and technological system.
With a total investment of around 101 million euros by 2025, this Innovation Pact aims to develop 33 products, processes and services, and also foresees a turnover associated with the sale of new products and services introduced by the project in the amount of 50 million euros and the creation of 200 jobs.
The “EcoCerâmica e Cristal de Portugal” [EcoCeramics and Crystal of Portugal] Agenda is one of the 22 “Agendas Mobilizadoras e Agendas Verdes para a Inovação Empresarial” [Mobilising Agendas and Green Agendas for Business Innovation] funded by the RRP in which Visabeira Investigação e Desenvolvimento participates, with an investment of around 800 thousand euros.
